Adrenal Rescue

1 drop of Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea)

3 drops of Black Spruce (Picea mariana)

3 Drops of Orange (Citrus sinesis)

Add to a diffuser and relax.

When I am trying to relax the word I continually say to myself is, " Soft, soft, soft". I am reminding myself to be soft and gentle. A lot of HSP's grew up trying to be 'rough' and 'tough' because they were trying to mask their true HSP side. This simple mantra reminds me of who I really am and my adrenals always thank me when I approach things with a 'softer side'.

*Another great blend for adrenals that you can 'wear' from Kurt Schnaubelt and Aromatics International is to blend 7- 10 drops of black spruce with 7-10 drops of a conifer (Norway Pine is great!) and blend into 2 oz of a carrier oil or unscented lotion of choice and rub on your lower back.

Excellent oils to baby those adrenals:

Black Spruce (Picea mariana)

Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens)

Galbanum C02 (Ferula galbaniflua)

Hemlock (Tsuga Canadensis)

Norway Pine (Pinus resinosa)

Orange (Citrus sinesis)

Rhododendron (Rhododendron anthopogon)

Research suggests that it is the monoterpene, alpha-pinene, that all of the oils above have that may help suppress the stress response and possibly contributes to an anti-inflammatory action. This component may give your adrenals the much-needed break they have been craving.

My biggest HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) lesson in adrenal restoration is to not put myself back into the very environments and situations that created compromised adrenals in the first place. And if I must be in very exhaustive settings, to make sure I am doing what I can to turn off the stress response when I am done: food, massage, meditation, and essential oils are a beautiful therapeutic combination to soothe taxed adrenals and an over-stressed life.
